Obituary

Pamela Jean Irving May 13, 1951 June 15, 2016 Pamela Jean Irving Scarborough- Pamela Jean Irving, 65, of Portland, died at the Gosnell House surrounded by her family on June 15, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Portland on May 13, 1951, the daughter of Harry N. and Raffeala (Diphillipo) Irving. Pam graduated from Portland High School in 1969. She married John Keeley Jr. in 1974 and they raised their four children in Portland. She was a very proud grandmother to three grandsons and one granddaughter. She loved to spend time with her ""nuggets"". She was always happy to babysit, quick to share every single picture on Facebook and faithfully attended all their games, concerts and important events. Pam loved to golf. She was a longtime member at Riverside Golf Course. She made many wonderful friends there and truly enjoyed getting out on the course several times a week. Even during treatment this winter she looked forward to the golf season. She was able to play her final round just a few weeks ago with the help of her dear friend Louise. Pam had many friends and family whom she cherished and who were incredibly supportive over the last seven months. Her children will be forever grateful to all of them, especially her brother Wayne who served as a rock to her and all of us in the final weeks. She was predeceased by her parents. Pam is survived by her daughter Kelle (Keeley) Farris and her husband, Marc of Portland; son Ryan Keeley and his wife, Nancy of Saunderstown, Rhode Island; daughter Meghan (Keeley) Owens and her husband, Michael of Portland; daughter Corinne Keeley of North Hampton, MA. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Cooper Owens, Joseph Keeley, Keeley Owens and Tyler Keeley; sister Rosemary Barrington of California; brother Wayne Irving of Florida, sister Sharon Thompson of Kennebunk, sisters Deborah Madison and Karen Irving of Portland and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her family would like to thank the amazing team at the Gosnell House in Scarborough for their loving care and compassion. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Gosnell House in her name. To honor Pam's wishes, no visiting hours or funeral will be held. We invite friends and family to join us for a ""Celebration of Life"" next month, July 17th, 12 pm at the Italian Heritage Center.
