One Nouchanthavong, 77, of Westbrook, Maine, passed suddenly the morning of June 29, 2024. The sixth eldest of eleven children, One was born on October 1, 1946 in Savannakhet, Laos. One met and married his wife Bouachanh Nouchanthavong on a spring day in 1970. They had four children, Khemphone Nouchanthavong, Kongkham Nouchanthavong, Sengthong Nouchanthavong, and Phokham Ver. On February 1981, One migrated his family to South Portland, Maine seeking a better opportunity for his children. He worked as a carpenter in Cape Elizabeth, Maine up until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking, playing card games amongst close friends and family on the weekends, partaking in family gatherings, and most favorably spending time with his grandchildren. One was preceded in death by his parents and siblings in Laos, his brothers Khamta Nouchanthavong and Kalathone Nouchanthavong, his sister Bounkong Nouchanthavong, and his son Sengthong Nouchanthavong from the United States. He is survived by his wife Bouachanh Nouchanthavong; daughters Khemphone Nouchanthavong,Kongkham Nouchanthavong,and Phokham Ver; son-in-law Soriya Ver; grandchildren, Jose Nouchanthavong, Suvanna Van, Sanders Ean, Britanee Nouchanthavong, Moniqueka Nouchanthavong, Maniye Ver, and Maclin Ver; and his great-granddaughter, Tianna St. Pierre. Service for One Nouchanthavong will be held on Friday July 5, 2024 at 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Dolby Blais & Segee Funeral Home,  35 Church St., Westbrook, ME, 04092.
