Norman M. LeClerc October 23, 1948 August 17, 2014 Westbrook - Norman Michael LeClerc, age 65, died at his home in Westbrook on Sunday, August 17, 2014 after a long and courageously fought battle with Brain Cancer. He was a hero to many for his bravery in dealing with his illness. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Born October 23, 1948 in Westbrook, to Dorilas and Bertha (Lessard) LeClerc, He attended Westbrook High School and graduated from Husson College. Norman was in the United States Army from 1969-1973, attaining the rank of Sergeant. On October 24, 1970, He married his beloved wife of 43 years Kathleen A. LeClerc. He lived in Westbrook and worked at Central Maine Power as a Lineman and then Construction Lineman Supervisor until retiring after over 40 years of service. Norman was preceded in death his parents, his siblings Roland, Gerard and Ida and his father-in-law Robert Stebbins. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen LeClerc, his two sons Joel LeClerc, and Todd Leclerc, daughter Jessica Sandrock, his grandsons Landon LeClerc, Austin LeClerc, and Connor LeClerc, three step-grandchildren Ashley Sandrock, Alyssa Renfro, and Zachary Sandrock and one step-great grandson Carter Sandrock. He is also survived by his siblings; Anita Metevier, Guy LeClerc (Margaret), Grace Smith, Jane Torza (Hugo), Pauline Campochiaro, Alfred LeClerc (Audrey), Phillip LeClerc (Mary), Roger LeClerc, Angela Francouer (Dick), and David LeClerc as well as his in-laws; beloved mother-in-law, Georgianna Stebbins, Barbara Vassallo (Richard), David Stebbins, Joanne Higgins (Cooper), and Patricia Woodhouse (David). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at 10 am St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 268 Brown St, Westbrook. Interment with military honors will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1461 Broadway, South Portland.
