Rev. Nancy S. Salisbury May 1, 1952 March 18, 2015 Portland - Rev. Nancy S. Salisbury, 62, of Portland passes away on March18, 2015. Nancy was born on May 1, 1952 in Kittery, Maine. She grew up in South Portland, Maine with parents Keith and Marylyn (Frank) Sherrard and was a graduate of South Portland High School. She attended and graduated from the University of Maine at Orono and the Bangor Theological Seminary. Nancy was a substance abuse counselor at Windham High School and Crossroads for Women and was a chaplain at Mercy Hospital. Her first love was parish ministry and she served in that capacity for twelve years at the First Congregational Church of Gardner, in Gardner, Maine. From 2007 to 2014, she served as the minister of the First Congregational Church of Gray, in Gray, Maine. Nancy is survived by her cousins Freida Sherrard, Blaine Sherrard and Carleton Emery. Services for Rev. Salisbury will be held on Sunday, March 22rd at 4:00 PM at the First Congregational Church of Gray, 11 Yarmouth Road in Gray.
