Casco - Myrtie Lois Allen D'Ascanio 90 years old, passed away on June 16, 2017. She was born June 9, 1927 to Ernest H. Allen and Ellen Morgan Cushman Allen of North Yarmouth, Maine. She was married to David D' Ascanio March 4, 1950 until his death in 2014. She was a 1946 graduate of Greely Institute. Through the years she was employed by Burnham & Morrill, Lerner Shops, and Fairchild Semiconductor (1965-1970) during the time transistors were being processed to put the man on the moon. From 1970 to 1996 she was employed at Brighton Medical Center, formerly Osteopathic Hospital/Maine Medical Center where she was a certified dietary manager. She took many classes at SMVTI, University of Maine, and was secretary/treasurer of The Maine Dietary Association many times. She was a member of Eastern Star. She is survived by her two sons: David Alan D' Ascanio (Cynthia), Michael Joseph D' Ascanio (Alexis). Grandchildren: Adrienne D' Ascanio, Jennifer D' Ascanio Dee (Christopher), Nicholas D' Ascanio, and Lauren D' Ascanio. Great Grandchild: Xavier Thomas Dee. She is also survived by her brother, Kenneth Allen (North Yarmouth, ME) and her sisters; Marion MacPherson (Carlisle, MA) and Della Chase (Warren) (Lewiston, ME) along with many nieces and nephews.
