Myron Leroy Brown, Jr "Brownie" November 29, 1935 January 6, 2015 Portland - Myron Leroy Brown, Jr.,""Brownie"", 79, of Portland, passed away on January 6, 2015 at the Maine Medical Center after battling cancer. He was born on November 29, 1935 in Portland, the son of Myron and Mary (Horton) Brown, Sr. He grew up in Portland, graduating from Portland High School, class of '54, where he was voted as the best dancer by his classmates. In January 1956, he married Elizabeth ""Betty"" (Feroci). They lived in Portland to raise their family and would have celebrated their 59th Anniversary later this month. Myron worked as a car salesman for 35 years and, after his retirement, continued to work for thirteen years at Shaw's Westgate. He also took care of his granddaughter Giuliana for the past three years. Brownie was an avid Patriots fan and loved Sunday dinners with his family where they would watch the games together. His greatest love in life was his family, always enjoying the times he spent with them; visiting, taking trips, seeing the grandchildren and more. If he was with family, he was happy. He had a great way with people and made many friends. One of his favorite sayings was ""Slow and Easy"" which really described his relaxed, kind hearted personality. Myron was predeceased by his father, Myron Brown Sr. He is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth, his mother Mary, his children; Janet Legassie, Sheila Bellefontaine, Theresa Mussoline and Jonathan Brown, his grandchildren; Bryan Bellefontaine, Breanna Bellefontaine-Krupski, Arianna Legassie and Giuliana Brown. He is also survived by his sister, Colleen Hemingway. At the family's request, services will be private, burial at Calvary cemetery.
