Mona Lee Kelley December 17, 1956 August 9, 2013 Steep Falls - Mona Kelley, 56, of Steep Falls and formerly of Portland, died on August 9, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born in Portland on December 17, 1956, a daughter of Frank and Adrienne DiDonato. She attended Portland Schools, graduating a year early. After graduation, she toured Europe. Upon her return, she moved to New Mexico and attended flight school. Mona returned home, working as a stenographer for the Portland Court System. Later she attended Andover College, earning her degree as a paralegal. Through her career, Mona held positions at Talk America, N.E. Telephone and as an executive chef at the Vineyard Restaurant in Portland. Mona enjoyed being with her children, Sebastian and Adrienne, reading, going to camp and being with her family. She loved cooking as well. Family was near and dear to her heart. Mona was predeceased by her partner in life, Henderson Rush, who died on December 30, 2007. She is survived by her two children, Sebastian Kelley and Adrienne Rush of Steep Falls and a granddaughter, Willow. She is also survived by four brothers; Walter Kelley and his wife Kim, Frank DiDonato, Jr. and his wife Cheryl, Santo DiDonato and his wife Gina and Vincent DiDonato and his wife Wanda, two sisters; Stephanie Robinson and Sabrina Casale and her husband Denny, as well as many nieces, nephews and two great-nephews. The family wishes to thank Central Maine Medical Center for the professionalism and compassion. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 4 - 7 pm at A.T. Hutchins Funeral and Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave, Portland. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on August 16 at 10am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 72 Federal St, Portland. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
