Mildred "Millie" E. Bibro October 28, 1926 February 21, 2015 Portlanda€""Mildred ""Millie"" E. Caler Morris Bibro, 88, of Westbrook, died on February 21, 2015, at Mercy Hospital in Portland after a brief period of declining health. She was born on October 28, 1926, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Leroy and Leola (Robinson) Caler. She spent her childhood in Hulls Cove and moved to the Portland area in 1944 after completing her schooling in Bar Harbor. Her first husband, Charles E. Morris, died in 1977 after 32 years of marriage. On October 27, 1979, she married Michael J. Bibro. He died in 2001. She worked for National Biscuit and First National Stores (Big Buy). Her friendly helpful personality was recognized in 1968 when she was voted ""Nicest Checkout Girl"" by Greater Portland shoppers. Millie was always happiest when she was helping others. She was a colorful person with a joyous spirit that brought smiles and laughter to anyone who was a part of her life. She was a great story teller. She took great pride in always coordinating her wardrobe ""colors"". The comment heard most often this past week from her family, friends and colleagues is ""she was so much fun and I just loved her!"" Millie was also predeceased by her parents; infant son, Wayne; sister Ada Brann; and brothers Leroy (Buddy) Caler and Charles Sawyer. She is survived by two stepsons, Edward Bibro (Linda) and Michael Bibro (Barbara); step brother Lloyd Sawyer (Dolores); sister-in-law Dolores (""Dimp"") Sawyer all of Maine; and nieces, Lois Gordon of Windham and Vanessa Fletcher of Chillicothe, Ohio; and a nephew Jeff Caler also of Chillicothe; and many other nieces and nephews and extended family members from the Caler, Sawyer, Morris and Bibro families including her guardian and special niece Ellen Burrill of Westbrook. She will be especially missed by her good friends Barbara Crimmins, Ella Plouffe, Patty Kurlin and John and Nam Small. In keeping with Millie's wishes, a graveside service will be held on May 8, 2015 at 1pm at Brooklawn Memorial Park in Portland.
