Michael "Micky" Joseph Chadbourne June 9, 2014 Michael "Micky" Joseph Chadbourne, age 16, of Franklin, Indiana, formerly of Portland passed away Monday June 9 from injuries sustained while trying to rescue a friend from drowning. Micky is remembered by thousands of people as a hero. Among his friends and family he is remembered for his gentle nature, quick wit, and huge heart. Micky was an upcoming senior at Franklin Community High School. He was a standout football player and a member of the track team. He loved spending time with his many good friends, especially his girlfriend Kelsey Adkins. He loved visiting his huge extended family and friends in Maine for vacations, big pasta dinners, trips to the ocean and annual summer camps. Micky would give anything to anyone. As his final gift, he donated his organs to the Indiana Organ Procurement Organization that others may live. Micky is survived by his parents Christina and Josh Roberson, Michael Chadbourne, siblings Simon, Nora and Lucas all of Franklin,IN, grandparents Tony and Darlene Napolitano and Bonnie and Clinton Chadbourne both of Portland Carla Hendershot of Franklin, Keith Roberson of Tennessee, great-grandparents, John and Linda McGovern of Portland and Robert Roberson of Tennessee, uncles and aunts, Tony and Jen Napolitano of South Portland, Nick and Amanda Napolitano of Augusta, Joe and Stephanie Napolitano of Westbrook, Steven Chadbourne of Maine, Jason and Kelly Lamb of Westbrook, Mike and Kristina Uhl, Chase and Sam Hendershot, Hunter Hendershot and Maddison Hendershot all of Franklin. He is also survived by many loving cousins and relatives. Friends and family are invited to visiting hours to celebrate Micky's life on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 4 - 7 pm at A.T. Hutchins Funeral and Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave, Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 20 at 10 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 72 Federal St, Portland. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
