Michael Chester Ham November 20, 1977 October 11, 2014 Portland - Michael Chester Ham, 36, of Portland passed away unexpectedly on October 11, 2014. Michael was born in Portland on November 20, 1977 to Warren and Joanne (Cavallaro) Ham. Michael attended Portland High School where he enjoyed playing football. As a freshman his touchdown won the Turkey Day game. He continued to play through his high school years and appear on the news sport channel for Friday night games. He played semi-pro football after school and continued to enjoy the game. He worked for the Carpenter Union until he had a head injury in California on September 29, 2008. He started school in San Diego for Deaf Language and moved back home to continue schooling at SMTC (SMCC) for Engineering. He was so proud of his test scores. He always enjoyed going to school even as a child. He was a loving young man and loved his boys and family so much. You would always see Michael with a smile and a helping hand. In addition to his parents Michael is survived by his sons Issac and Michael Ham, his sister Melissa Ham, his special uncle Mike, and his nephews Dasaun and Jamils.
