Mary Eaton (Soule) Fickett November 25, 2012 October 6, 2012 South Portland - Mary Eaton (Soule) Fickett, 86, of South Portland, died peacefully on October 6, at the South Portland Nursing Home with loved ones by her side. She was born on November 25, 1925, in Sharon, MA. She was the daughter of the late Mary Rae Robinson and Charles W. Eaton. Mary attended School in Holbrook, MA and was a graduate of Summer High School there. Mary lived much of her life in South Portland and Westbrook areas. She resided for many years at the Riverview Terrace in Westbrook, ME with her late husband George Fickett. In the 60's, Mary ran the Coffee Cup and the Canteen at SMVTI in South Portland. She retired from Maine Medical Center in Portland and enjoyed her retirement years. She spent her final years at the South Portland Nursing Home where she enjoyed the wonderful love and care she received from Kim and the rest of the staff. Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, playing cards, and had a great love for music and loved to dance. Mary is survived by her son, Douglas Soule and his wife Mary of Olalla, WA, a daughter, Cheryl Parker and her husband Norman of Hollis, ME, and four grandchildren, Brian J. Soule of Olalla, WA, Alicia Soule of Tacoma, WA, Norman J. Parker III of Falmouth, ME and Jamie J. Parker of Standish, ME. Mary was predeceased by her first husband, Arnold J. Soule and her late husband, George H. Fickett, a brother, Charles Eaton of CT, sisters, Dorothy Dennen of Hyannis, MA and Ellen Tisdale of Brockton, MA. There will be a period of remembrance for Mary at the Bar Mills Community Church, Buxton, ME, at 2:00pm on Monday, October 22, 2012 with memorial services to follow immediately. Burial will be at a later date in Holbrook, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary's memory to the Hospice of Southern ME, 180 US Route 1, Scarborough, ME.
