Mary Margaret (Scanlon) McGarr September 28, 2014 Falmouth - Mary Margaret (Scanlon) McGarr, 89, of Falmouth passed away on September 28, 2014. She was born in Beverly, Massachusetts, a daughter of Dennis and Nellie (Hourihan) Scanlon. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, John, and brothers C. Paul Scanlon and Rev. Thomas J. Scanlon, OMI. She is survived by her 4 children: Sheila McGarr of Portland, Kathleen McGarr and her husband Ed Braley of Falmouth, Paul McGarr of Arlington, VA and Maureen Pettis and her husband Andrew of Fairfax, VA, and 6 grandchildren: Monica, Alana, Janna and Thomas Braley, and Alicia and Julia Pettis. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 10:00 am at Holy Martyrs Catholic Church, 266 Foreside Rd, Falmouth. A private burial will be held at a later date in her hometown of Beverly, MA.
