Martin E. Gribbin June 9, 1960 May 18, 2015 Portland Martin E. Gribbin, 54, of Portland passed away at home after a long illness on May 18, 2015. He was born in Portland on June 9, 1960 the son of Norma (Pettis) Gribbin of Portland and the late John Gribbin, Jr. A longtime Portland resident who attended local schools, Marty worked at Ventrex and the Eastern Book Co. among local firms. Marty was an independent soul who loved to read and loved rock and roll, whether at a local club or listening at home. His wry sense of humor will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Marty also enjoyed watching all types of movies. Rest in Peace. He is survived by his mother, Norma M. Gribbin. He is also survived by his siblings, Thomas Gribbin, Kathleen Neidig, Steven Gribbin, Christopher Gribbin and John Gribbin all of Portland, and by his nieces and nephews, John and Marie Neidig, Allison, Chelsea and Daniel Gribbin. A celebration of life will be held at A.T. Hutchins Funeral and Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 6pm. Relatives and friends are welcome to visit with the family on Friday from 4pm until the hour of the service. Private burial will be held.
