Marjorie P Hebert August 29, 1931 November 13, 2016 Portland - Marjorie P (Derrah) Hebert, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and children at Saint Josephs Manor, November 13, 2016, where she received outstanding care from the staff and her loving family. Marjorie was born August 29, 1931, in Portland, the daughter of George and Madeline (Taylor) Derrah. She grew up in Portland, and attended local schools. Marjorie moved to Westbrook in 1947, worked at Hebert's Market on Bridge Street where she met her future husband Robert Hebert. They wed at St. Hyacinth church on November 14, 1949. They were married 67 years. A few of Marjorie's employments included; Fairchild's, Wellwoods, and CVS. She retired from CVS after 25 years. Through the years Marjorie enjoyed hobbies such as reading, and doing puzzles. These most recent years the highlight of her days was spent enjoying her time with family. We children will always remember how she made Christmas Eve a special family event. Although Marjorie is not physically here, she will always be with us. We will always remember her laugh, her smile, her encouragement, and her love. Thank you Wife, Mom, and Nana for everything you have done for us. Marjorie was predeceased by her parents; step mother Eva Derrah; brothers Clarence Derrah, and Phillip Derrah; and son Roger Hebert. She is survived by her Husband Robert Hebert of Westbrook, Daughter Patricia and her husband Robert Dubois of Wells, four sons, Richard Hebert, Ronald Hebert and wife Maria, Peter Hebert and wife Marcia, Michael Hebert and wife Beverly all of Portland, fourteen Grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren, with one great granddaughter on the way. She is also survived by sister-in-law Elizabeth Sartori of Manchester, CT, Brother-in-law Dewey Hebert, of Lexington, KY, and 10 nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visiting hours from 9 to 10 am on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at A. T. Hutchins Funeral and Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland. A memorial service will follow at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland.
