Marilyn Lucy (Drinkwater) Milliken August 22, 1923 November 4, 2012 Falmouth- Marilyn Lucy (Drinkwater) Milliken, 89, died peacefully on November 4, 2012 at the Maine Veterans' Home in Scarborough. She was born on August 22, 1923, in Spruce Head, Maine, a daughter of Earle and Harlene Drinkwater. After graduating from South Portland High in 1942, she moved to Washington, DC and worked for the Labor Department. She later transferred to the Navy Department and joined the Navy Waves. She moved back to Maine in 1948 and married Alfred H. Milliken, Jr. Marilyn, Alfred and their children Anita, Wayne and Bruce enjoyed many family adventures at their homes in Rangeley, Sebago Lake and Bridgton. Marilyn enjoyed fishing, skiing and golfing with her friends at the P.C.C. and was an active member of St. Mary the Virgin Church in Falmouth. She was pre-deceased by her sister Tharon Milliken and brother, Kenneth Drinkwater. She is survived by her loving husband, Alfred; daughter, Anita Brann and her husband Rudy; sons, Wayne Milliken and his wife Elizabeth, Bruce Milliken and his wife Denise; brothers, Ashley Drinkwater of Spruce Head and Lloyd Drinkwater of Portland. She was also survived by nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Monday, November 12, 2012 at St. Mary the Virgin Church, 43 Foreside Rd. Falmouth. Interment will follow in the Burial Garden.
