Marietta (Pillsbury) Crocker, 96, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2025, in Springvale, Maine. Born on July 6, 1928, in Monroe, Louisiana, she lived a long and fulfilling life surrounded by family and the things she loved most. Marietta was a woman of remarkable creativity and warmth. She had an innate artistic talent that shone through in her love for painting and interior decorating. Whether transforming a space with her keen eye for design or bringing a canvas to life with her brushstrokes, she found joy in expressing herself through art. Her passion for antiques and collecting unique treasures made every yard sale an adventure, as she delighted in discovering pieces that carried history and charm. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Marietta cherished the time spent with her family. She found happiness in baking for loved ones and tending to her garden, where she cultivated beauty with the same care she showed to those around her. Her kindness and compassion extended beyond people. She had a deep love for animals and always ensured they were treated with gentleness and affection. Marietta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Selden G. "Bud" Crocker Sr., as well as her twin brother, John Pillsbury; her sister, June Houston; and her daughter-in-law, Mary M. Crocker. She is survived by her sons: Selden G. Crocker Jr. of Kennebunk, Maine; and Dennis A. Crocker and his wife Shirley of Alfred, Maine. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Jason A. Crocker and his wife Kimberly of Biddeford, Maine; Jarod A. Crocker and his wife Samantha of Wells, Maine; Heather M. Crocker of Manhattan, New York; and Stacey L. Newton and her husband Jeff of Acton, Maine. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Brianna Crocker of Lebanon, Maine; Dakota Crocker of Biddeford, Maine; Rylie Crocker of Biddeford, Maine; Caroline Crocker of Kennebunk, Maine; Aiden Newton of Acton, Maine; Logan Newton of Acton, Maine; and Kennedy Crocker of Wells, Maine. Marietta's kindness, artistic spirit, and love for family will be deeply missed by all those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her most.
