Maria Donatelle Murphy February 4, 1918 September 22, 2016 Maria Donatelle Murphy ~ Maria J. Murphy, 98, of 21 Meadow Way, died Thursday,~September~22~after a brief illness. She was born Feb. 4, 1918, in Portland, the daughter of Giuseppe and Elvira (DiGregorio) Donatelle. ~ Mrs. Murphy lived in the Greater Portland area her entire life. She graduated from Portland High School in 1937, and worked in various retail stores. ~ She leaves a daughter, Patricia Franciose of South Portland, and her husband, James, as well as two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves a brother, Richard Donatelle, of Portland. ~ Mrs. Murphy was predeceased by her husband, Henry T. Murphy, and her son, Richard~Littlefield of Windham and Bonita Springs, Fla., in addition to eight siblings. Friends and family are invited to visiting hours from 9 to~11 a.m. on Monday, Sept 26, 2016 at the A.T. Hutchins Funeral & Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave, Portland. Funerals services will follow at 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
