Margaret Alma Logue July 5, 1932 February 24, 2014 WESTBROOK - Margaret A. Logue, 81, passed away peacefully at home on February 24, 2014. She was born in Ellsworth, ME, to the late Rachel and Burton Haskell. Margaret graduated from Portland High, Class of 1950. On April 2, 1955 she married Edward L. Logue. Together they raised four loving daughters in their Westbrook home. Margaret worked in retail throughout her life working at Rine's then Ward Brothers, as well as running a small seamstress business from home. Upon retirement she opened The Haskell House B&B from the family home on Deer Isle. Margaret's love of the ocean included fond memories at Ferry Beach with Eddie and his girls. She also enjoyed spending time on Deer Isle with family and friends at Causeway Beach, swimming, sunbathing, clamming, and family cookouts on the rocks. Her interests were cooking, sewing, gardening, love of theater, love of animals especially cats, reading, berry picking, and traveling with friends and family. She was very involved with her graduating Class of 1950. They shared a special bond and looked forward to their reunions through the years. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Edward Logue, her sister, Charlotte Cook, and brothers, Caryle and Charles Haskell. She is survived by her four daughters Heather and husband David and their children David and Megan; Holly and husband Jeremy; Cynthia and her children Justin, Emily, and Nicholas; and Jennifer and husband Kip and their children Kory and Nadine. She is also survived by her niece, Robyn Holmes and nephew, Joel Cook. Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 1st at Williston-Immanuel United Church, 156 High Street, Portland, ME. A graveside service will be held in Deer Isle, ME at a later date.
