Portland-Lynwood Schlehuber, 95, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2022 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice house in Scarborough. He was Born in Lynn, Mass on April 20, 1926 to Mildred and Fred Schlehuber. Lynwood was in the U.S. Army from 1944-1946. On September 28, 1946 he married Bettenna Grace Urquhart and they resided in Presque Isle raising five children. He worked at Aroostook Farm Dairy, Guimond Farm, and MPG Dairy. In 1967 he moved his family to Portland, where he worked for Old Tavern Farm Dairy retiring after 21 years. During retirement he worked part time for several Glass companies. Lynwood enjoyed card playing, puzzles, New England Sports, and especially spending time with family. He loved living at Park Danforth for ten years and the many friends he made. He is predeceased by his parents, his wife Tena of 67 years, A son Armond Schlehuber, A granddaughter Jorie Schlehuber, A brother Paul Schlehuber, sisters Irene and Evelyn. He is survived by his children Boyd Schlehuber and his wife Regina of Standish, Malee Blanchard and her husband Donald of Eustis, Harlan Schlehuber and his wife Chris of Old Orchard Beach, and Lynnann Marcroft and her husband Jim of Portland. A sister Helen Metzger and her husband Bob of NH. He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Per Lynwood and Bettenna's request, A private graveside service will be held in the spring at Brooklawn Memorial Park.
