Portland- Lucy Fitzsimmons was born in West Minot on August 26, 1929 to her parents John R L. Harris and Clara Leach. She grew up in West Minot and also went to school there. She then went to work for Beal Laundry in Auburn for many years. Lucy enjoyed being with her family, listening to music, and cooking. She also enjoyed puzzles, shopping, and taking care of her bird. Lucy is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Richard Fitzsimmons, her stepson, Richard Fitzsimmons; three brothers John Harris, Arthur Harris, and Amos Harris. Lucy is survived by her ten children, Barbara Quesenberry, Doris (William) Ledbetter of Virginia, Donna Talbott of South Portland, Hazel Rodriquez of Westbrook, Marry Tibbetts of Lewiston, Daniel Fitzsimmons of Portland, Joseph Fitzsimmons of Portland, and Donald Fitzsimmons of Portland; her two sisters; Celia and Esther Harris; three brothers, Frank, Henery, and John Ford; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Brooklawn Memorial Park on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 11:00AM.
