Louise "Weezy" Cavallaro October 21, 1939 June 18, 2012 Portland- Louise ""Weezy"" Jean Gallagher Cavallaro, loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on June 18, 2012 in Portland, Maine with her loving family by her side. Louise was born in Portland on October 21, 1939, a daughter of Walter Francis Gallagher and Dorothy Scott Gallagher. She spent her childhood on Munjoy Hill, attending local schools and graduating from Portland High School in 1957. She married the love of her life, Anthony C. Cavallaro on June 23, 1962. Saturday they would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Louise worked for over 30 years at New England Telephone as a line assigner, retiring in 1991. For several years she and her husband enjoyed wintering at their home in The Villages, Florida. She enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, the Caribbean and throughout the Continental United States. Her favorite trip was a family trip to Ireland in 2006. Louise spent many hours researching her family history and studying genealogy. Louise also enjoyed taking trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun with the Italian Heritage Center. She had recently visited the newly opened Oxford Casino. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren David, Anthony, Victoria, Megan, Santino, Vincent, Christin and John. She was a member of Italian Heritage Center and the Eagles. Louise is survived by her husband, Anthony Cavallaro, sons Anthony Cavallaro Jr. and his wife Nancy, Daniel Cavallaro and his wife Elizabeth, Rocco Cavallaro and his wife Vanessa, all of Portland, daughter Karen Ingraham and her husband, David Ingraham Sr. of Windham and grandchildren, David Ingraham Jr., Anthony Cavallaro III, Victoria Cavallaro , Megan Wayne, Santino Cavallaro, Vincent Cavallaro, Christin Scott and John Scott, many loving in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Donald F. Gallagher. She will be greatly missed by all whose life she touched with her love, laughter and caring. Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Ave., Portland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, June 22nd, at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 72 Federal St., Portland. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland.
