Louise I. Googins August 4, 1923 June 9, 2014 South Portland - Louise I. Googins, 90, of South Portland, passed away on June 9, 2014 at the South Portland Nursing Home. She was born on August 4, 1923 in Alberton, Prince Edward Island, a daughter of Charles and Florence (Inman) Beeler. Her family moved to Maine and she grew up in Portland. Louise worked for many years in assembly at Fairchild Semiconductor and later worked for fourteen years at a day care taking care of children. She loved her time with children. Her other interests and hobbies included; sewing, crocheting, knitting, crafting and gardening. Louise was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Edgar Googins and many of her sibilings. She is survived by her children; Edgar Googins of South Portland and his children Jason (Alison) of Michigan, Kevin (Kelly) of Michigan and Danielle Barandiaran (Danny) of Utah, Glen Googins and his wife Carol of South Portland and their children, Robert (Cynthia) of Scarborough and Kelly of South Portland, Ronald Googins and his wife Marylan of Florida and their children Naomi (Mark), Keith and Mark, all of Florida, and David Googins and his wife Kathy of Windham and their son Erik of Westbrook and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Patricia Labbe and her husband Cecil of Florida. Friends and family are invited to a graveside service on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress St., Portland.
