Lillie K. Murphy October 12, 1950 May 6, 2014 Lillie K. Murphy, 63, of Gorham passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on May 6, 2014. She was born the daughter of the late George and Arlene (Dow) Gray in Portland on October 12, 1950. She raised three children as a strong independent woman completely dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Lillie enjoyed many different fashions especially lively colors and sparkles. She loved spending holidays with her family. She began many unique holiday traditions which will be carried on by her children and grandchildren. Lillie wanted her family and friends to know that when we think of her she will be the brightest star in the sky. Lillie is survived by her husband Ernest ""Charlie"" Murphy, her daughter Penny Edwards, her daughter Coletta Higgins and her husband Ian, her son Mark Edwards and his wife Lynn, Colleen Somma who Lillie considered one of her children, her sister Doreen Gray, many grand children and great grandchildren, and a large extended family. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Brooklawn Memorial Park on Monday May 12, 2014 at 1:00 pm followed by a reception at Amvets Post 25 186 Washington Ave. Portland ME.
