Lee Joseph Leavitt October 30th, 1961 January 4th, 2012 Lee Joseph Leavitt came into this world on October 30th 1961. He left this earth and was granted peace on January 4th 2012. Although he accomplished much in his life, the gift his life shared was the love that he demonstrated every day. Lee's willingness to continue to fight in face of challenges he confronted was beyond human comprehension. To all that know him it was evident how very much he cherished his family and friends. He was an extraordinarily dedicated physical therapist and felt honored to be a part of other peoples healing. He had a generous heart and a gentle spirit that was always present in times of need or doubt. Lee was a compassionate man, thoughtful and authentic. His spirit and love will live on in all of those he cared for and loved. Lee will be dearly missed by his wife Manon, their two children Alexandra and Zachary, his parents Marilyn and Richard, his siblings Ellen, Julie and Todd, his extended family and his friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 28 at 2pm at the South Portland Church of the Nazarene, 525 Highland Avenue in South Portland.
