Lawrence Richard Kimball of Portland, Maine, passed away at the Scarborough Veterans' Home on Saturday, November 18, 2023. Larry was born on May 1, 1943, in Portland, Maine, and was the eldest son of Avril Mae Kimball.  He was lovingly raised by his adoptive parents, Raymond and Dorcas (Redmond) Wilson.   He attended Deering High School, graduating in 1963. After high school, Larry served in the Navy from 1963 to 1967.  While stationed in Pennsylvania, Larry met and married Patricia Henry.  They had three children, Lisa, Rich and Amy, during their marriage.  In 1987, Larry married Linda Berry, and they lived in Portland until her passing in 2019.  Larry loved sports, especially football and track and field.  He often spent time helping the coaching staff at Deering and Cheverus High Schools, training the aspiring athletes, including his son Rich.  Larry enjoyed the outdoors, and spending time in the Sebago Lake region. He also enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, who also share his love for 'summers at the lake'. Larry was predeceased by his parents, his wife Linda, and his brother Raymond Wilson.  He is survived by his daughter Lisa Sally (Tom) of Pennsylvania, son Richard Kimball (Catherine Foley) of Maine, and daughter Amy Tarlo (Joseph), of Pennsylvania. Larry had the good fortune of having 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.   He is also survived by his sister Ronale Reilly of Vermont, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Southern Maine Memorial Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
