Kathleen Jane (Mealy) Pettegrow March 12, 1923 June 9, 2015 Falmouth - Kathleen Jane (Mealy) Pettegrow, 92, of Falmouth, passed away at home on June 9, 2015. She was born in West Warwick, Rhode Island on March 12, 1923, the daughter of Thomas and Genevieve Mealy. Kathleen grew up and went to school in West Warwick. She summered in Bucks Harbor, Maine where she met her future husband Earl Pettegrow. They were married in Rhode Island on May 12, 1947, and soon after moved to Machiasport, Maine where they lived until Earl's passing in 1985. Kathleen spent her working years caring for others as a Registered Nurse, as well as being an occasional sternman for her husband who was a well-known local fisherman. After Earl's death, she moved to Yarmouth where she lived independently for several years and ran a daycare service for a select group of children, many of whom became her friends as adults. In later years she lived with her daughter Jane in Falmouth. Kathleen was predeceased by her parents and her husband Earl Pettegrow. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Lausier and husband Charlie of Biddeford; her daughter Jane Havey and husband Dwight of Falmouth; her grandchildren Josh, Jennifer, Melissa, and Meghan Lausier , and Christopher and Jessica Havey; and her great-grandchildren Sierra and Cali Richards and George and Scott Elwell.
