Kathleen E. Lyons, age 86 of South Portland, died July 30, 2026, at Aroostook House of Comfort.

She was born April 6, 1940, in Waterville, Maine, the daughter of Mildred and Walter Nugent.

She grew up in Waterville and graduated from Waterville High School in 1958. She was employed by insurance companies in Waterville, Bangor, California, and Portland, Maine.

She married William R. Lyons in 1967. Together they celebrated 48 years of marriage. He passed away in 2015.

She enjoyed photography, cooking, puzzles, reading, and her computer.

She was also predeceased by her parents, sisters Lorraine, Muriel, Helena.

She is survived by her son, Christopher John Lyons of South Portland, several nieces and nephews and cousins.

At Kathleen’s request, there will be no services. Burial will be at Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland, Maine.
