Joyce Meredith (Greene) Lynch December 11, 1933 January 31, 2016 Joyce Meredith (Greene) Lynch, 82, of Falmouth was ushered into the presence of the Lord on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Falmouth by the Sea Nursing Home. Born in Hertford, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Sarah (Whitaker) Greene and the late George Greene. At the tender age of 15 she married Lou David Lynch and remained his devoted and faithful wife of 55 years until his passing in 2004. She valued education and spent her lifetime vested in learning and self- improvement. She attended the New York Telephone Developmental Studies Program and worked as a customer service representative until her retirement in 1994. She received a Certificate of Achievement from John Jay College of Criminal Justice for her participation in the New York Telephone Company Program in 1979. She became a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America in 1986. She graduated from City Technical College of The City University of New York in 1986. She received a Certificate of Recognition from Saint Augustine Theological Institute in the City of New York. Where she studied General Excellence in General Bible Studies and Evangelism. She graduated as Salutatorian from this Institution in 1996. Predeceased in death by her husband, Minister Lou David Lynch (2004): daughters: Edrena Rose Lynch (2006) and Karen Roxanne Lynch (2011). Left to mourn her passing are her son, Lou David Lynch, Jr. of New York, 6 grandchildren: Sabriya Lynch, Melissa Lynch, Curtis Lynch, Emerson Duhart, Kendell Lynch and Lou David Lynch, III. A brother, Kermit Greene of Virginia and one sister Daphne (Greene) Hollings of Springfield, NY. ~She also leaves in her passing, great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016, 10:00-11:00AM at A.T. Hutchins Funeral & Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland, Maine. The Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11:00AM. Bishop Steve Coleman, Pastor of Williams Temple Church of God In Christ will officiate. Burial will follow at Forest City Cemetery in South Portland, Maine.
