Joseph E. (Roy) Guimond 1929 ~ 2015 Joseph E. (Roy) Guimond age 86, passed away at home on Monday, June 29, 2015 after a short illness. He served in the U.S.ARMY during 1946-48. Was in the Airborn and served in Okinawa Japan. Joe was a hard worker who spent many years in the drywall business as founder of G & G Drywall. He spent the last of his working years at W.H. Nichols in Portland in the Heat Treat Department retiring in 1991. He was an avid deer hunter and also loved fishing. His favorite times were up at ""The Bus"" in November with his family and friends. He also loved a good game of Rummy with his wife and taking his old buddy Fred the Daschund for a walk. He was a great dad and husband. Joe was predeceased by his wife of 60 plus years, Norma, his parents Ovide and Amanda of Gorham, brother, Alfred and sisters, Simone Bernier, Margeret Rilley and Rita Dyer. He is survived by a sister, Lauretta, brothers, Raymond and Gerard, his sons, Mikal and wife, Deena, Scott and wife, Kathleen, Toby and wife, Joanne, and Larry and a daughter, Eleanor and husband, Clarence Harmon. He is also survived by grandchildren, Gabriel, Jason, Katie, Shelbi, Scotty and Sarah Guimond, Margie Lee, Bobby and Dennis Harmon and by a great grandchild, Brooke Guimond. Private burial will be in the St. Hyacinth Cemetery, Westbrook.
