Joseph E. Latini-born Oct. 3, 1955, passed away on May 26, 2026 after a short term illness.

He was born in Portland, Maine and attended Portland public schools and USM. He worked at JE Gould and B & M factory in his early adult years. He worked over 30 years at National Inventory Service, then at St. Joseph’s Rehab the last 10 years before retiring a year ago. He and his brother operated a shop for two summers at Old Orchard Beach in the early 80s. Joey was family oriented. He enjoyed family gatherings during the holidays and cookouts with his sister, Suzanne and family and cousins. He was a true New York Giants fan. He enjoyed watching football, wrestling, horse racing and going yard saling.

He is predeceased by his brother, Matthew, mother Elizabeth, and father Arthur Latin. He leaves behind a son, Joseph Wilson, sister, Suzanne, Gikas, brother-in-law, Matthew and nephews, Nathaniel and Jacob Gikas and cousins.

There will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday June 2, 2026, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church on 72 Federal St., Portland, ME. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, South Portland, Maine.
