Joseph J. Hubner Sr., of Portland, passed away January 15, 2018.  He was born in Portland on May 27, 1956 to George T. and Katherine A. (Wallace) Hubner.  He attended local schools and retired from Bath Iron Works. Joseph was predeceased by:  his parents; brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Lucy Hubner; brother and sister-in-law, John and Noreen Hubner; and nephew, Justin Marshall.  He is survived by:  three children, Kandace and her husband Kenny, Joseph Jr., and Julie; three grandchildren; brothers, George and his wife Marie and David and his wife Theresa; sisters, Margaret Jones and her husband Dana, Mary Doucette, and Katherine Thomas and her husband Melvin; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Lily. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's name to the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland at https://arlgp.org/ Services will be private.
