Joseph R. Finocchietti June 28, 1941 February 8, 2012 Falmouth - Joseph R. Finocchietti, 70, passed away at his home on February 8, 2012. He was born in Poland Springs on June 28, 1941 the son of Giuseppe and Eleanor Finocchietti. Joe grew up in Gray and graduated from Pennell Institute. After High School, Joe enlisted in the Air Force. He met his wife Elizabeth McCurdy and after their marriage in 1966 they made their home in Falmouth where they raised their two children. Joe worked many jobs and retired from Jordan's Meats where he was a truck driver. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Joe was an avid gardener - he was always planning and growing a large garden. He also loved being with his three grandchildren, Hannah, Emma and Matthew. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth; son, Michael of Falmouth; daughter, Karen and her husband Dan Casale and their children Hannah, Emma and Matthew all of Windham; sister, Mary and her husband John Lyden of South Carolina; brother, David of Gray; brother Johnny and his wife Joanne of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. Joe's family extends their deepest gratitude for the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for Joe during his stay at Mercy; the VNA hospice nurses and aids who made his time at home comfortable; and the Falmouth EMS.
