John Joseph Richardson, Sr. June 18, 1966 December 28, 2014 Standish - John Joseph Richardson Sr., 48, of Standish passed away at his home on December 28, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. John was born in Derby, CT to Joseph and the late Patricia (Hurd) Richardson on June 18, 1966. John enjoyed working as a mechanic and racing at Beech Ridge Speedway. John worked for 3 G's Tire (formally Dyers Tires) for 37 years. He began working at the garage when he was 11 years old and continued working thought his illness. In addition to his mother John is predeceased by his brother Joseph G. Richardson. John is survived by: his father Joseph E. Richardson; his children John Jr. and Kayla Richardson of Buxton; his three sisters Virginia Steeves and her husband Richard of Portland, Becky Richardson-Plummer and her husband Tim of Standish, Regina Fernald and her husband Edward of Buxton; three grandchildren Rayshell, Mya and Jaxson; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind the staff and customers of 3 G's Tire. Family and friends are invited to visiting hours on Thursday January 1, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a funeral service following at 6:00 pm at A.T. Hutchins 660 Brighton Ave. Portland, ME 04102. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday January 3, 2015 at 2:00 pm at 3 G's Tire 89 Anderson St. Portland, ME 04101.
