Portland- John F Clemente 78, died unexpectedly November 12, 2023 at Maine Medical Center.  He was born April 10, 1945 in Portland the son of the late Emilio Clemente and Mary (Cipriano) Tocher. John graduated from Portland High School, Class of 1963 and from the University of Maine Gorham Teachers Class of 1967. John was employed as a Social Studies teacher for Po0rtland Schools and retired after 25 years of service.  At the time of his death, he worked Security for the Portland Museum of Art, Portland. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Joan (Clemente) Ashley. Survivors are his niece Carol (Ashley) Gerrity her husband Michael of Westbrook and his nephew Robert L. Ashley and his wife Joan of Windham. John enjoyed traveling, especially cruising the warmer climate of the Caribbean. He had a great sense of humor, loved a good "two for one" sale, followed politics and was known to many as Mr. "C".  Until we meet again... At John's request there will be no services.
