Westbrook-Joanne A. Johnson, passed away peacefully at Gosnell House on April 3, 2023.  She was 76 years old.  Joanne was born in Portland Maine June 22, 1946.  Joanne grew up in a traditional Italian family in East Deering where she was the youngest of four children.  She loved playing the accordion, knitting and crocheting and hanging with dear friends in the neighborhood. She was a communicant of St. Pious Catholic Church in Portland and enjoyed attending services and then going out to breakfast with her siblings.  Joanne treasured being a wife, mother and grandmother.  She graduated Portland High School in 1964 and worked at Starbird Music, Unum Mutual, the Yarn Barn and Catholic Charities.  She is survived by her husband of 56 years Ronald A. Johnson, her son Joseph James and two grandchildren Erica and Trevor, sister Camilla Burns of Yarmouth Maine and brother Dominic DeLuca and his wife Sally DeLuca of Portland and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Joanne was predeceased by her parents Daniel and Queenie DeLuca of Portland and her sister Theresa Little of Portland. A Christian burial will take place in May.  Arrangements are under the care of A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home
