JOAN LORETTA GRAETZ June 4, 1934 - December 16, 2022 Joan, 88, passed suddenly but peacefully on Friday, December 16, 2022, in her home at The Woods at Canco in Portland, Maine, where she lived for the last six years. Joan was born and raised in Queens, NY.  She married her high school sweetheart, Walter, in 1954, and they celebrated 62 years of marriage until he succumbed to Alzheimer's in 2016.  They enjoyed retired life in the home they built on Lake Arrowhead in Limerick, Maine, and then onto Port St. Lucie, FL. Joan is survived by two daughters, Linda and Lori, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Virginia Dittrich.  She was predeceased by her parents, John and Agneita Dittrich, and her siblings, Eleanor Barrack, Dorothy Dittrich and John Dittrich. A special thanks to her 'family' at The Woods.  She loved you all and spoke fondly of the fun times and laughter you shared. A celebration of Joan's life will be held at a later date.
