Jennie Susan (Dobson) Staples February 2, 1922 November 9, 2014 -South Portland Jennie Susan (Dobson) Staples, 92, of South Portland passed away at her home on November 9, 2014. Jennie was born to the late Harry and Lucy (Dickey) Dobson on February 2, 1922 in Unity, ME. Jennie was raised in Belfast, ME and moved to Portland when she was 18 to work on the water front. She later worked as a Certified Nurses Aid for over 30 years working for various nursing homes. Jennie always prepared home cooked meals. She never let anyone go hungry, all were welcome at her house to eat. She is predeceased by her husband Blaine B. Staples, her son Thomas B. Staples, and her sister Louise Dobson. Jennie is survived by her son John Staples and his wife Jan Anderson, her daughter Leslie (Staples) Bickford, her daughter Jeannette (Staples) Southerland, 16 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
