James Theodore Noble August 15, 1935 May 19, 2014 -Portland James Theodore Noble, 78, of Portland passed away at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House following a long illness. James was born a son of the late James Edward and Melvina (Mossey) Noble on August 15, 1935 in Lagrange, ME. James attended Portland schools. He was a truck driver for thirty years for Fox and Ginn. He later worked for 20 years for Pratt Abbot . He was involved with the Teamsters Union for over thirty years. When he was not working he enjoyed spending time outdoors; hunting, camping, and boating. He volunteered at the Baron Center. He never missed an event for his grandchildren and especially enjoyed spending time with his great grandson. James is survived by his; wife of 59 years Joan Noble, daughter Theresa Melanson and her husband Steven of Windham, daughter Donna Norman and her husband John of Portland, grandson Timothy Melanson and his wife Casey of Windham, granddaughter Amy Melanson of Windham, granddaughter Emily Norman of Portland, great grandson Matthew Melanson of Windham, Brother John Noble of Peabody, MA Family and friends are invited to attend an hour of visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday May 22, 2014 with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m at A.T. Hutchins Funeral & Cremation Services, 660 Brighton Ave. Portland. Interment at Calvary Cemetery will be private.
