James H. Curtis October 9, 1947 January 27, 2012 Scarborough - James H. Curtis, 64, lifelong resident of Scarborough passed away on January 27, 2012 at a local hospital. He was born on October 9, 1947 the son of Lena (Tuttle) Bragg. James was a jack-of-all trades. He was a skilled finish carpenter, mechanic and arborist. He was a lifelong hunter who loved spending time with his grandchildren, Caty and Scotty and visiting with family and friends. He was always on the go and always kept busy. He was predeceased by his mother; sister, Isabelle Bragdon; and two brothers, Spike Bragg and Charles Bragg. James is survived and will be dearly missed by his children, Robert Curtis and Laurie Curtis; grandchildren, Caty and Scotty; sister, Lillian Brackett and her husband Perley all of Scarborough; and nephew Butch Hashey his wife Bonnie, and his daughters Samantha and Lyndsay. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress Street, Portland with the Rev. Joshua Tilton officiating. A reception and celebration of James life will follow the service at Independent Death Care of Maine, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland.
