Obituary

James David Brinkerhoff "Jim," 52, died unexpectedly on June 14th, 2025, at home. He was born on September 18th, 1972, in Worcester, Massachusetts. However, the family relocated to Portland, Maine shortly after. He was the son of Linda Myrick and Harold Brinkerhoff. James was known by many and loved by many. He obtained his GED and became a master electrician. He was proud of this and always shared the accomplishments he achieved throughout his career journey. James was known for always lending a helping hand and for constantly sharing his love for his children with anyone who would listen. He was a proud father to not only his biological children, but his stepchildren as well. He loved loudly and never wavered from what he believed in. He will forever be remembered for all the memories he left us and for his bold, unforgettable personality. James is survived by his fiancée, Candace Wells; his children: daughter Kacee Brinkerhoff-Bryant and daughter-in-law Abi Brinkerhoff-Bryant; daughter Jamie Smith and daughter-in-law Alexis Smith; son Thomas Letellier; son Ryker Letellier; son Brady Letellier; and son James Ryan Day. He is also survived by stepdaughter Karen Pace; stepdaughter Jesicka Phipps; stepson Timothy Korthaus; stepson Jakob Phipps; his sister Jacklyn Demers; and his brother Michael Brinkerhoff. He is also survived by many cousins, grandchildren, and many others. He was predeceased by his sister Diane Brinkerhoff; his twin brother, David James Brinkerhoff; his sister, Roberta Brinkerhoff; his stepdad Joseph Demerand his parents, Harold Brinkerhoff and Linda Myrick. The family would like to send thanks for the quick response from emergency services and medical staff.
