Jacqueline Malloch January 6, 1925 Novmeber 28, 2014 Scarborough - Jacqueline "Jackie" Malloch, 89 of Scarborough, passed with grace and courage - the way she lived her life - on November 28, 2014. She was born on January 6, 1925 in Lubec, a daughter of Arthur and Marion (Zwicker) Malloch. Jackie worked for New England Telephone for 35 years, retiring early to care for her mother and later, her sister Jean. She worked in Lubec and later in Calais and Ellsworth as chief operator. She was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Jackie moved from Lubec with her sister Jean to be near her daughter and family in 2009. She was predeceased by her parents, her sister Jean Morrison and brother Harold Malloch. She is survived by her daughter Fern DiPietro and her husband David, her grandsons Christopher DiPietro and his wife Tracey of Portland, and Daniel DiPietro and his fiancée Lynn Chasse of Windham. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren; Jason DiPietro of Windham, Alexis DiPietro of Portland, Benjamin Farley and Chirstopher Farley of Freeport as well as her nephews Gilbert Murphy, Scott Malloch and Christian Malloch and their families of Eastport and many friends in Lubec. After moving to the Portland area, she went on to make many lasting friendships at Bessey Commons, especially Pat and Joe, Doris, and Judy. The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of Southern Maine, especially Cindy, Corinne, Bill and David for their care during Jackie's illness. Services will be announced at a later date and will be held at the Lubec Congregational Church. Burial will be private.
