Jacqueline M " Jackie" Ferrar, 79, Cumberland- Jacqueline M "Jackie" Ferrar passed away after a brave battle with multiple illnesses at Maine Medical Center in Portland on April 2, 2017. She was born "July 25, 1937 in North Hampton Massachusetts. She is the daughter of the late Theodore Joseph Papillon and Geraldine Bertha Fisher. Jackie attended Portland Schools. On July 30, 1955 she married the love of her life James Ferrar Sr. also of Portland . She worked for many years at Fidelity and Deposit of Portland Maine. She retired in 1994 as an underwriter. She loved life and family and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed knitting, playing cribbage, puzzles, camping with family and Beano. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New.Enqland Patriots. In addition to her parents she is predeceased by her husband James Ferrar Sr;, her sisters Cynthia Gonzales and Elizabeth Lee as well as her brother Paul Papillon. Surviving are her daughters Ann Marie Seaborne of Nashua New Hampshire, Debora Alexander of Saco and her son James Ferrar II and his wife Robin of Cumberland. She has six grandchildren, Kendra, Ashley.Tyler, Lina, Abby and James III as well as 8 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 brothers, Richard and Ted Papillon of Massachusetts. The Ferrar Family would like to give our heartfelt thanks to the Maine Medical units of R7 and Gibson 3 for making our mother so comfortable and well cared for in her final days. They were all Angels!! Friends and family are invited to visiting hours from 9-11 am on Friday, April 7th, 2017 at A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home 660 Brighton avenue, Portland. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM with a burial at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland Maine.
