Gervaise Marcelle Cameron December 17, 1933 January 31, 2013 Gervaise Cameron of Sherbrooke, Qc, Canada passed away January 31,2013 at 79 years of age after a brief illness at Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough, Maine. Born December 17, 1933 in Sainte Edwidge in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Gervaise was a lifelong visitor to the Portland area. First in her teens, then through her married years renting a cottage in Ocean Park for a week or two each summer with four children in tow, for over 30 years to visit her youngest daughter who had met and subsequently married in the Portland area, mom enjoyed her many visits. Mom loved nothing more than being with her children. Even this past summer another cottage had been rented in Ocean Park and mom was surrounded by family. She leaves son Bob Breen (Cheryl) of Vancouver B.C. , daughter Susan Breen of Collingwood, Ontario, daughter Cathy Cestaro (Gary Allegretta) of Portland, Maine and son John Breen (Jody) of Calgary AB. Grandchildren include Curtis and Cailey Brennan of Collingwood, Ontario, Cameron Cestaro (Katie Fullerton) and Connor Cestaro ( Megan Biermann) of Portland, Maine, Andrew Allegretta of Virginia and Kenzie, Riley and Meghan Breen of Calgary AB. The family would like to thank Portland Rescue, the Maine Medical Center doctors and nurses of the ER and the R2 wing for their professionalism, kindness and courtesies extended to mom and her family. We also want to thank the caring and considerate staff at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for their help and understanding in mom's final days. We would also like to thank the kindness of neighbors and friends in the Portland area who provided a shoulder to lean on and meals to sustain us during this most difficult period.
