Geraldine May Cushing January 7, 1928 May 12, 2012 Portland - Geraldine May Cushing passed away on May 12, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Portland. She was born on January 7, 1928 and was raised by her grandparents Hedley Viker Scott and Estella May Scott. Geraldine was a homemaker who devoted her life to her husband and family. She enjoyed sewing, reading and writing poetry which led to her work being published. Her belief was to make everyday count. She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Sturdee of Camden and a sister, Barbara Ferrante of South Portland. Geraldine is survived, and will be sadly missed by her husband of 59 years, Raymond P. Cushing, Jr of Cape Elizabeth, five daughters, Donna Mailman of Windham, Linda Beaulieu of Raymond, Carlene Kinney of Scarborough, Raylene Reid of East Baldwin and Carol Duran of Biddeford. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 10 great-children, a nephew Brian Dearborn of South Portland and a special sister-in-law, Nancy Sturdee of Camden.
