George E Turner Jr. 4/1/44 9/3/15 Portland George E. Turner Jr ""Skip"" of Portland, passed away peacefully on 9/3/15, at the age of 71 after a 5 month illness, surrounded by family at Maine Medical Center. Skip was born in Portland on 4/1/44, the son of Predeceased George and Eileen Turner, ""Bud and Molly"". Skip graduated from Portland schools and retired from New England Telephone after 35 years of dedicated service. Skips favorite family activities included amusement parks, (teacups, trains, and merry go rounds), and Marco Island, FL. Skip is survived by his wife Brenda Barron Turner of 40 years; his siblings Rosemary Curtis and her husband Newt of Scarborough, Colleen Sloat and her husband Barry of Raymond; his children George E. Turner III, Catherine A. McLullen and her husband Brian, David M. Turner and his wife Christine, Tatum Eileen Turner-Krause and her husband John Raymond Krause, and their children Hannah Eileen, Jacob Turner, Jackson John, and Eve Brianne Krause of CT, Tristin Dawn Krause and her husband Brian Eben Krause and their children Alana Ellivia and Briana Ella Krause of Portland. He is also survived by 8 other grandchildren, 1 great grandson, 6 nieces and nephews and 10 great nieces and nephews, as well as many aunts and uncles. A memorial mass will be held on Friday September 11 at 10am St. Joseph Church, 673 Stevens Ave. Portland . A celebration of life will follow Tristin and Brian's home.
