George E. Manning, Jr. July 18, 1946 June 11, 2013 Portland - George E. Manning, Jr., 66, of Portland and formerly of Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2013. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on July 18, 1946, the son of George E., Sr. and Grace (Fehr) Manning. He was raised in Massachusetts, graduating from Chelmsford High School. George worked as a fisherman on the North Star vessel since 1995. He was well known and well liked in the Portland waterfront community. He was an avid Boston sports and Notre Dame fan. George is survived by his children, George E. Manning, III, Erin Bahouth (Steven) and Melissa Manning (Dana), all of Boston, and his grandchildren Jaelyn, Jade, Jayme and Jaxon, as well as his brothers Jeff Manning of Portland, Oregon and Robert Manning of Spring Hill, Florida and many nieces and nephews.
