George Henry Fickett August 17, 1930 April 8, 2012 Scarborough - George Henry Fickett, of Westbrook, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2012 at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House at the age of 81. George was born in Portland on August 17, 1930, the son of George and Lorina (Woods) Fickett. George lived most of his life in Westbrook. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War. He was a longtime member of the American Legion Post 197 in Westbrook. He lived many years at Riverview Terrace in Westbrook. While there, he delivered meals from Deering Pavilion to the elder housing facilities in Westbrook. George was predeceased by his father, mother and step-father, Peter O. Crepeau. He was also pre-deceased by his former wife Irene Fickett and his daughter, Tammy Jo Wolfe. He is survived by his wife, Mary Soule Fickett of South Portland, his sons George and his wife Jeanne of Florida, and Richard and his wife Debbie of Norway, Maine. He is also survived by his present wife's children, Cheryl Parker and her husband Norman of Hollis Center and Douglas Soule and his wife Mary of Olalla, Wa, and several grandchildren. At George's request there will be no funeral. A graveside service, with military honors will be held at St. Hyacinth Cemetery, 296 Stroudwater St. in Westbrook on Friday, April 27 at 1pm.
