Frederick H. Murray, Sr. August 15, 1932 January 15, 2014 Frederick H. Murray, Sr., 81, passed away on January 15, 2014, at the Veteran's Home in Scarborough, peacefully in his sleep. He was born on August 15, 1932 in Detroit, Michigan to Ralph and Gladys (Bradbury) Murray. He attended schools in Connecticut and after serving 4 years in the Navy, he moved to Maine and married his beloved wife, Kathleen Verrill. He worked for the State of Maine at the Youth Center before retiring early to care for his ailing wife who passed away in March 1991. Fred was devoted to his family and enjoyed wood working in his free time. In addition to his wife. Fred is predeceased by his sisters June and ""Pinky"" with whom he was very close. He is survived by his son Fred, Jr., his daughter Kathy Black, son-in-law JC, his grandchildren Lisa and Eric Drucker , Jason Kimball, great grandchildren Megan and Jessica Drucker and Jocelyn and Oliver Kimball, sister Mary and her husband Jim Sinko, and various nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thanks goes to the Veteran's Home in Scarborough for the caring, respect and dignity given to Fred. A graveside service will be held in the Spring at Brooklawn Memorial Park.
