Frank Ring March 27, 1936 December 30, 2011 Standish- Frank Ring of Standish, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 30th, 2011 surrounded by his family at the Maine Medical Center from a lung disease. Born in South Paris on March 27, 1936, he was the oldest of eight children to the late Clifford and Musetta (Chaplin) Ring. Frank loved the outdoors in which he took great pleasure in spending time with his family fishing in his favorite stream or lake. He also enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends singing, playing his guitar and listening to music. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army as a tank commander. After service to his country, he became a welder and retired in 1991. Frank was a devoted Red Sox and New England Patriots fan, in which he never missed a game. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Frank was predeceased by two sisters, Jerry Davis and Loraine Bragdon . He is survived by his wife Joanne of 55 years, two sons Michael Ring and his wife Nancy of Gray, David Ring and his wife Diane of Auburn, a daughter Theresa Hadley and her husband Chris of New Hampshire. Three brothers, Philip Ring and his wife Donna of Auburn, Larry and Joey Ring both of Lewiston, three sisters, Beverly Manalus and her husband Bill of Nevada, Carole Monroe and Debbie Trman of Auburn. Frank is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Burial and memorial services to be held in the spring.
