Frances K. Viney April 14, 1941 July 10, 2012 Portland - Frances K. Viney, 71, of Westbrook , passed away with her family by her side after a long battle with cancer on July 10, 2012. She was born on April 14, 1941, in Biddeford, the daughter of Victor W. and Ruth L. (Twombly) Clough. She grew up in Kennebunkport/Wells area, graduating from Wells High School in 1959. In 1960, she married Francis G. Murphy and the two had four children together. She later was re-married in 1972 to Alfred L. Viney and they had three children together. Frances most recently worked at L.L. Bean before retiring in 2008. Frances loved travelling, trips to Foxwoods, oil painting, going to the beach and especially being with her family. She loved attending her grandkids school events. She truly valued the friendships she made throughout her life and leaves behind a long line of close friends. Frances is survived by her seven children; Kimberly Murphy , Anne Presby and her husband Bill, Maureen Bambrick and her husband Justin, James F. Murphy, Lisa Kelley and her husband Jeff, Alison Schumacher, Kristina Viney and her husband Stuart. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Connor Murphy, Declan Attaway-Murphy, Andrew Jonathan and Caley Presby, Nicholas, Benjamin and Hannah Bambrick, Gabrielle and Bridget Kelley, Kyle and Riley Schumacher and Tyler Viney as well as four great-grandchildren. Frances is also survived by her sister, Martha Daly and her husband Duncan and her brothers, Brian Clough and his wife Mary and Fred Clough. The family would like to thank the ICU staff at Portsmouth Regional Hospital and the SCU staff at Maine Medical Center. A special thanks to Dr. Matthew Dugan, Marcie and the staff at MCCM for their kindness and support. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 4 - 8pm at A.T. Hutchins, LLC Funeral Home, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 10am, followed by interment at Brooklawn Memorial Park, Portland.
